I am a psychologist and a dance instructor by profession, a dancer and a choreographer by passion. I have been dancing since I was 8, with a special emphasis on Tap Dance. By dancing for last 20 years, I have won multiple championships, performed and took part in various shows, galas and festivals. At one moment, I have realized that I cannot live without Tap Dance. Not only was it a hobby of mine, but an intense passion, which later on changed the course of my life.
Since 2013 I have been running TIP TAP Tap Dance School in Warsaw. I organize tap workshops, Summer Tap Dance Academy, monthly Warsaw Tap Jam Sessions and classes in my studio. In 2016 I was invited to choreograph “Stepping Out” in Och-Teatr in Warsaw, directed by Krystyna Janda. Also, I am a part of “Stepers” dance company, touring throughout Poland. What is more, I have been invited to be a dancer in “To Hear the Dance” show.
I try to promote Tap Dancing in Poland and try to break its stereotype – one can tap at any age, to any genre of music and wherever one imagines. My strongest emphasis in tap is improvisation, body conscience and coordination, technique and expression.
I regularly attend various workshops and tap festivals. In 2015 I was given the scholarship from Heather Cornell for two-week Manhattan Rhythm Tap Intensive in New York.
